Plastic wall hanging plugs are preferable for a screw fixing and a wooden plug 10 mm to 12 mm in diameter is suitable when a nail fixing is adopted. To select a wall hanging plastic plug, first determine the gauge of the screw to be used and select a suitable one from the range of wall hanging plugs usually available in hardware stores.
